First-Time Driver? Roll Up in a Ranger
Buying your first vehicle is something you never forget. Think of how much fun it will be to show your friends your new truck, and you roll up in a Ranger! At Grogan Ford, we love working with first-time drivers and helping them buy their first car or truck. For those who prefer trucks, the Ranger is ideally priced. With three models to choose from, the Ranger gives you comfortable interior styling and ample cargo space, amazing technologies, and safety features that are perfect for first-time drivers!
Interiors & Cargo Space
No matter where your travels take you, feeling comfortable is key to enjoying your trip. The Ranger offers comfortable and supportive bucket seats. Also, you can take your friends along for the ride with seating for up to five in the four-door Ranger SuperCrew. With a roomy cab, there is enough space for everyone to settle into your Ranger easily.
If you grew up with technology, you’ll appreciate the 8-inch center touchscreen and dual LCD instrument cluster. It keeps you in the know with useful data that is easy to read.
The Ranger SuperCab provides bucket seats up front for two and a bench seat in the back that includes room for storage under the seat. And in the XL model, you can elect to have the bench seat taken out for extra cargo space. The SuperCab comes with a 6-foot bed to provide more than enough room for all your gear. The Ranger SuperCrew is even more spacious, with four full-sized doors, seating for up to five, and rear under-seat storage. You’ll appreciate the 5-foot bed when you go to load up for your next camping trip or ATV adventure!
The sales team at Grogan Ford can tell you about available accessories to personalize your truck. If you like outdoor adventures, outfit it for gear like ATVs or trail bikes. Another option provides bed liners for protection and off-road lights for fun side trips off the beaten path. Ford offers something for everyone in the Ranger.
The Ranger is built for taking you anywhere you want to go while keeping you connected.
Voice-activated SYNC 3 and FordPass Connect allows easy access to all the tools of your smartphone. Ask for a contact by name to make a call, start a favorite playlist or podcast, and pull up navigation directions. In addition, the available 4G LTE in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot lets you connect devices up to 50 feet away from your truck.
Keeping a smartphone charged is an essential part of driving these days. With two smart-charging USB ports included with the available voice-activated Navigation System, both you and your passenger can charge up on your drive.
You’ll want your phone charged so you can listen to your favorite playlists on the incredible B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen. With ten premium speakers and 660 watts of amplified power, it provides a sound experience that makes you feel like you’re at a concert.
Also, Roadside Assistance is available directly through the FordPass App via a call or e-request. If you need help, there are services like fuel delivery, flat-tire service, and more. It’s excellent support for first-time drivers and means your parents will worry about you on the road less!
A high-strength steel frame and frame-mounted steel bumpers aren’t the only safety features standard on the Ford Ranger.
Driver-assistance technologies like the Ford Co-Pilot360 make first-time drivers feel more confident behind the wheel. Ask our sales team which features are standard on the model you’re considering and what options are available. Safety features include:
Blind Spot Information System. If a vehicle enters your blind spot, our sensors detect it and illuminate a small light in the corresponding side-view mirror. This takes the stress out of changing lanes in traffic.
Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support. This is cruise control taken up a notch. Set your preferred cruising speed and the distance you’d like to keep between your truck and the vehicles ahead, then the system maintains both. If traffic ahead of you slows or comes to an abrupt stop, Forward Collision Warning systems will activate and alert you to slow down. If you don’t take action, Brake Support will gently slow your vehicle.
Lane-Keeping System. Inadvertently drifting from your detected lane happens to everyone. This system warns you to refocus on the road ahead. Gentle correction from the Lane-Keeping System helps guide and center your truck back in your lane. If the system detects that you’re veering from your lane several times, it reminds you to stop for a coffee break or to stretch your legs.
